The Hyundai Terracan was a SUV that was produced by Hyundai Motor Company from 2001 to 2007. It was based on the Hyundai Highland concept . It was sold in Asia, Europe, Africa, Australia and some South American countries. It was powered by two engines: a 2.9 litre Inline-4 Hyundai J engine, and a 3.5 litre V6 Hyundai Sigma engine. The Terracan was eventually replaced by the Hyundai Veracruz and the Kia Borrego. The car's name derives from "terra" (land) and "Khan" (ruler).
